What feeds you doesn't start on your plate
So you are done feeling tired and anxious all the time, but you don't know where and how to find your peace of mind. Or maybe you are ready to start taking your body's signals seriously and act upon them, but you just don't know how. Maybe you even want to shed some weight and feel wonderful in your skin again, but you are unsure how to keep those kilos (or pounds) off for good? Or you'd like to learn more about the impact of foods on your body and mind, but you feel overwelmed with what you find online and drop it all together? Do you want to unwind and have that highly overdue self-care, but you just cannot spare any minute to carve out that time? I fully understand where you're coming from! Health and happiness don’t start on your plate. They start with all those others things in your life. Yet we often confuse what we eat with them. At least, that’s how I look at it. Let me explain. Feeling stuck in a toxic relationship will not fill your heart or soul. Having a career you don't like , won't fulfill you and will only wear you out. Exercise as another way to feed your hunger for perfection, might not really relax you. Feeling so rushed you cannot hear the voice inside of you, might leave you wondering around aimlessly developing all kinds of ailments. That is when your favourite junk food will come in to compensate for the void created by this lack in 'primary foods'. Just taking away the junk food, won't solve the problem for good. Nor will any diet. That is why we will look at root causes by going through all those areas of primary foods that impact what you crave and eat.
Then there is bio-individuality: one person's food is another person's poison. My coaching is highly individual, because you are too. Your body will react differently to certain foods than someone else's will. The same goes for lifestyle preferences, because your primary foods' blueprint is unique to you too. As a Health Coach, I won’t be pointing my finger at you nor will I tell you what’s best for you. Instead, I will support you with insights and tips tailored to you and your life. You will set your goals and together we will break them down into achievable actions. I will be there to hold you accountable for them, so you will reach or even surpass them! But most of all, I will support you in turning changes into lasting improvements.
Health coaching sessions
My aim is sustainable change for my clients. With the change of seasons, challenges around holidays and the impact of life events that may occur, I will be your accountability partner to support you in reaching your goals in your health and happiness. The coaching sessions will be one on one, but can also be in (corporate) group settings. I will meet you either via Skype or face to face in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. If helpful, I will use kinesiology in face to face sessions. I coach in English or Dutch, but understand French, Spanish, Italian and German too.
