Holistic Health coach
I am a certified holistic health coach. I received my education from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and I am a student at the School of Applied Functional Medicine in Sudbury, MA. In addition, I am deepening my knowledge of kinesiology. Before becoming a health coach, I have spent 15 years in a fast-paced career as a communication specialist supporting big corporates in Switzerland, Australia and the Netherlands to help their employees embrace organisational transformations and change.
Constantly feeling exhausted and anxious. Waking up tired yet pushing myself to exceed expectations every single day. Exercising in such a way it wouldn't interfere with my work. Copy that for my social life. I was super woman and could always do it all. Until I hit a wall and realised I had never actually made myself a priority in my own life. That's when change started to happen. I branded my burn-out as my Project Reset: a path to becoming me. To rekindle with what really makes me tick. What a gift it was to re-wire and re-programme myself.
Let food be your medicine
However, the moment my mind started to relax, my body began sending messages through various ailments doctors wouldn't understand. Their pill didn't fix my ill: the ruby red rash I was developing on my face did not diminish, neither did my lower back pain nor my hormonal imbalance. I turned to functional medicine and discovered my symptoms were my digestive tract screaming to be detoxed. With an elimination diet I started to heal from candida overgrowth, leaky gut, insulin resistance and digestive problems. And as Hippocrates has it: food became my medicine.
Let me health you
This experience and all lessons that came with it have been game changing. And I never want to stop learning. If my body can heal itself by itself, every body could do that. However, I am a firm believer of bio-individuality: my exact steps most likely won't be a copy-paste solution for you. Let me inspire you along your way to healing your body and mind. Pause for a moment from being a partner, a mother, a successful colleague, a friend and so much more. Stop running and start being. Let me health you!
